King Design is on Facebook

Advertising through social media has been increasing in popularity and seems to have significantly spiked in the past six months.  Perhaps the best evidence of this growing trend is how Obama’s team leveraged such sites as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and Digg in last year’s presidential campaign. Networks like CNN are also taking advantage of it for the volume of ‘real-time’ feedback they can get from viewers on a variety of breaking news stories.

Market researchers have taken note and some agencies now offer social media marketing campaigns as part of their service offerings.  Still, there are many skeptics who cite inconclusive data regarding the actual effectiveness of such campaigns in driving sales – in other words, the ROI can be difficult to calculate.

Despite the skepticism, King Design is on board with leveraging social media as part of our own comprehensive brand strategy and marketing plan for 2009.
